About

I am a professor in the Department of Political Science and International Relations at Seoul National University. I received my Ph.D. from Washington University in St. Louis and have since focused my research on various topics within political methodology, international relations, and Korean history.

Currently, I serve as the Director of the IR Data Center at the Institute of International Studies and lead the Economic Security Cluster at SNU's Institute for Future Strategy. My work involves applying data science techniques to address critical questions in international relations and national security.

My research interests include political economy, international trade, and the development of statistical methods for political analysis. I am committed to advancing the field through both research and teaching, with a particular emphasis on innovative methodological approaches to understanding global political dynamics.
